A Deeper Meaning Of Human Behavior And The Mental Process...

Psychology has been and will continue to be one of the most difficult topics to study with the continuing goal of trying to understand a deeper meaning of human behavior and the mental process. Particularly it is the study of why humans do the things they do. The study of has been broken down into classification system representing sub-classes to make it easier to understand. The most widespread form is abnormal psychology for the reason that it is so common. Consequently being able to define abnormal psychology continues to get a negative misconception relating it to a kind of severe mental disability. Being this my first psychology class taken in person, I was unaware of what to expect but what my friends have said prior to taking it. Studying abnormal psychology has taught me a new sensitivity to people who have experience psychological difficulty. Before taking this class I believed that people who claim to have these mental problems were just weak and unmotivated using what the y had as just a way to get attention. I thought it was something that could be treated through work, physical activity or finding a way to get their off of the problem. I sort of blame this reasoning on the way I was raised to never show weakness and never become a victim of mental cowardice. However, I was ignorant which for me is hard to admit.
